These sessions are inspired by the interests of young people to promote social interaction and the building of friendships/relationships.
This is a newer provision, so any suggestions and feedback is greatly appreciated to improve our offer. We have already hosted boardgame, anime drawing, climbing walls, and high wire sessions at the request of our young people, with other types of sessions currently being planned.
We also advocate for inclusive services on behalf of families and, whilst we do not necessarily host these sessions, we are heavily involved in the planning of said sessions. For example, relaxed cinema viewings, and SEN specific ice-skating sessions.
Our hope is to expose young people to social activities in a calmer and more controlled environment they will be less anxious when attending similar activities independently, and with family and friends.
