Together We Can Make a Difference

PODS Charity (Parents Opening Doors)

PODS Counselling Service

To further enhance the holistic support we provide and as part of our ongoing commitment to supporting families with disabled children and young people, we have our very own PODS Counselling Service.

PODS Counselling Service offers help and support specifically designed for parent carers of children and young people with disabilities or additional needs. This service understands the unique challenges that come with caring for a child or young person who has additional needs.

We know that being a parent carer can be rewarding, but it can also be overwhelming and stressful. Parent carers often face emotional challenges, including anxiety, frustration, isolation, and loneliness. PODS provides a safe space for parent carers to talk about their feelings, share experiences, and find support. Through PODS Counselling Service parent carers can work towards achievable goals to get them on the right path to wellness.

At PODS, we understand that each family’s journey is unique, and we are committed to fostering a community of care, understanding, and resilience. Our experienced Counsellor is here to support you, offering a confidential space where you can express your thoughts, concerns, and triumphs.

Individual counselling sessions start from £35; our Counsellor has experience in SEND, LD and Autism and is ACCPH registered. All sessions will be tailored to your unique circumstances.

PODS Counselling Service is a valuable resource for parent carers, offering emotional support. By helping parents navigate their unique challenges, PODS aims to improve their well-being and enhance the quality of life for both parents and their children or young people. If you’re a parent carer in need of support, consider reaching out to PODS for help.

Thank you for being an integral part of the PODS family. We look forward to walking this path of support together!
